Registering your organization puts your disaster response and community work in front of the people who need it — survivors looking for help, and the churches and partner organizations trying to coordinate around you. It's how Serve Source knows you exist, and how the rest of the network finds out what you do.
If your organization isn't on Serve Source yet, here's how to set it up.
- Create your account (or log in, if you already have one).
- Go to Get Started With Your Organization.
- Choose the option that matches your situation:
- "I'm using my organization email" — shown automatically if you signed up with a work/organization email address. Serve Source can verify your organization using that email domain.
- "My organization has a website/domain" — for personal email addresses (like Gmail), where your organization still has its own website. You'll verify access to an email address at that domain.
- "My organization doesn't have a website/domain or I don't have access to it" — for small organizations without a website, or if you can't access an organization email. This path requires manual review by Serve Source staff.
- If no existing organization matches your email domain, you'll land on the Organization Details form. Fill in:
- Organization Name
- Organization Type (Church, Faith-Based Nonprofit, Community Nonprofit, Government Agency, For-Profit Partner, or VOAD Network)
- City, State, and Country
- Website (optional)
- A short description of your organization's mission and work
- Click Create Organization.
Your organization will go through Serve Source's onboarding/verification process before it's fully approved. You can start using the platform right away, and staff will follow up if anything else is needed.
If your email domain already matches an organization already on Serve Source, you'll be routed into the claim process instead — see How to Claim an Existing Organization.
