About This Disaster

Severe storms and tornadoes impacted multiple parts of Oklahoma on March 6–7, 2026, with the most serious confirmed impacts in Major County near Fairview and Okmulgee County near Beggs. As of Saturday, March 7, at least four storm-related fatalities have been publicly reported in Oklahoma from this outbreak. 


  • County officials said the tornado damaged multiple homes and businesses, hit Beggs Middle School, and left a damage path extending past Highway 75.
  • Okmulgee County’s emergency manager said the tornado carved an approximately 4-mile damage path through the county, toppling large trees and damaging power infrastructure.



North Tulsa, Oklahoma

  • Separate severe storms and possible tornado activity caused widespread damage in north Tulsa. Reported impacts included a roof blown off at Tulsa Tech’s Peoria Campus, uprooted trees, bent traffic signs, debris blown across streets, and downed or hanging power lines.


Texas

  • Marion County | north of Jefferson / Prospect community / Berea Way to Hall Road: Tornado tracked across north-central Marion County into southern Cass County. One home had its roof ripped off and was shifted off its foundation; family displaced. Estimated homes damaged: at least 1 confirmed heavily damaged home; broader count not released. Other impacts: 2 injuries. 
  • Starr County | Rio Grande City / Escobares: Very large hail, up to 4.5 inches near Rio Grande City and 2.75 inches near Escobares. Law enforcement reported hail damage to a residence roof and windows/glass, plus vehicle damage.


Scattered wind damage across KY, OH, PA, TN, MS, and AL.
