The disaster, triggered by heavy rains fed by tropical moisture and a mesoscale convective vortex, has grown into the deadliest inland flood in the U.S. since 1976 with 135 confirmed fatalities —surpassing even the impact of Hurricane Helene in 2024. The July 2025 flood stands as one of the most devastating inland flood events in modern U.S. history. Efforts now blend urgent rescue and cleanup with long-overdue reform and deep community engagement. While politics and infrastructure struggles persist, the solidarity from businesses, nonprofits, and everyday Texans offer a powerful reminder of resilience in crisis. We have an assessment team on the ground on July 5th in the late afternoon. Available capabilities for this deployment are provide pallets of relief supplies, serve hot meals, and send out serve teams for debris clean up efforts.

Several Foursquare Churches reside in affected areas in Kerr County. Kerrville, San Angelo, Georgetown, Round Rock and Cedar Park. When situation allows, will be deploying an Advanced Lead Team for assessments. Possibly volunteer teams to assist local churches with capabilities.

Austin Disaster Relief Network is mobilized and providing many Survivor assistance services at Round Mountain Baptist Church, Leander. Onsite support has moved to once a week, on Tuesdays from 10 AM to 2 PM.
Volunteers will assist in rebuilding and repairing homes in the Tom Green County, TX area. No skills are necessary prior to serving. This is a great opportunity for a crew of volunteers to love on her and her son by helping remove debris and restore items that were moved during the floods.

Eight Days of Hope (EDOH) is deploying its Rapid Response Ministry to Kerrville, TX, in response to the deadly flash flooding that occurred on July 4th. There are at least 120 deaths and over 170 people still missing as a result of the rapidly rising Guadelupe River. This will be a HEAVY deployment of the Rapid Response Ministry, bringing specialized equipment and skilled operators to the area. EDOH will serve from Saturday, July 12 until Saturday, July 19.
City West Church is an active church serving the community and hosting Mercy Chefs feeding operations.
We are providing donations of water, toiletries, diapers, canned food, dry goods. We would like to send teams to help Mercy’s Chefs, help with muck out, or any other clean up and rebuilding needs.
