A Flash Flood Warning for central McLennan County, including the Waco metro was issued, with rainfall rates up to 2–4 inches per hour and flooding expected along US-84 and I-35 between Bellmead and Hewitt.</p><p><br></p><p>Flooding stranded multiple vehicles on I-35, forced water rescues, damaged roads near Waco Drive and Westwood Villa Apartments, and pushed floodwater into at least one Bosque Boulevard home.</p><p><br></p><p>The City of Waco opened a Disaster Assistance Center with support from community partners for residents whose homes or property were impacted.
